Just accross the Shouren-in temple complex you can find the Yamanaka Cafe inside the Pavilion Court. It's a small authentic cafe where you can also have some Kakigōri with diffent kinds of toppings, great on a very hot summer. The staff was very friendly and the waiting time was very short.

Nice place. Had pancake with chestnut and red beans paste + ice coffee. Outdoor seating was perfect for a sunny day. Tasted good. Quantity was a bit less but expected for that price.

BEST matcha lattes! Excellent service. Woman was kind very and welcoming. Highly recommend visiting this quaint little shop for a drink or snack. They even offer blankets if you’d like to sit outside- so thoughtful.
